Enquiry – the birth of the Justice system

This week we have been exploring the “roots” of democracy in Ancient Greece. The children debated if their justice system was truly fair and found out about how Athenians could vote to ostracise someone for 10 years. They made their own “ostracon” out of clay and scraped names into it.

English – peer to peer editing

The children have been supporting one another in the editing process. There has been a great deal of conversation around the concept that “two eyes are better than one”. Although the author always ensure that they have the final voice about their work.

Pandora’s Box
