3rd May - Habitat Survey

Habitat Survey

In our science this term we are exploring eco-systems and habitats. This week we surveyed the school grounds to look for evidence of wildlife. The children were engrossed in finding all the signs and then deducing which creature may live in this place. Reassuringly, they found evidence of a diverse range of wildlife living sustainable lives in our school playing field. Now they need to consider the question of how to ensure that our impact as humans has as little harm on these eco systems as possible. How can kindness towards our environment and the creatures in it, shape all of our futures?

In English Class 3 have started writing their own disaster stories based on the wordless picture book, Flood by Alvaro F Villa. They are working in pairs to master the art of Peer Editing after each piece of writing.
