This is an extraordinary place of learning where the school sits absolutely at the heart of its village community. From the moment you step over the threshold of Delabole School, you feel a strong sense of history in this beautiful, old building and an equally strong sense of community in its people. I am extremely proud to find myself as custodian of this generation of children of approximately 130 pupils, in this unique village school, perched between the moors and the sea.
As a community of learners, we are all wholeheartedly engaged in the business of shaping really rich, memorable experiences. Our highly committed, hard-working team never lose sight of our ambition for ourselves and the children. And, as I have come to understand, we know we can count on our amazing village community to support us on every step of the journey. Together, we all make sure that this 'place of learning' is going from strength to strength. Delabole is not my school - it is our school; and our community has certainly proved that time and again.
We hope that within these pages you will find all the information you need, alongside an ongoing celebration of all that we achieve together every day.
